PABLO PICASSO

History: 0 bids

The seller informs:
Spain's greatest artist, PABLO PICASSO, was a master of many media: painting, drawing, sculpture, graphics, printmaking, ceramics, theater design and
more. Picasso's tremendous output, in all of these mediums during his long life of over 90 years, was prodigious and still remains awe-inspiring.

This is a fascinating hybrid-work: An ORIGINAL GOUACHE PAINTING over a VINTAGE line litho of an owl or other bird, with painted stars in the sky above it. Painted in a thick, brown, water-based gouache paint. Picasso's paint appears to have "attacked" the sheet with great vigor, making a bold and arresting original image.

Sheet size is 11 3/4" x 8 5/8", with another line image printed on the verso (shown as our last image, below). SIGNED: Picasso (in brown gouache, with the brush), not dated but estimated to be circa 1940s. The Condition is EXCELLENT.
