The seller, formathuck, Sheridan, AR, United States:
A Pablo Picasso pastel drawing, this is a great example of Picasso's love of colors. It is titled "La Mono" and I have seen this subject in many of his works, it is said that he love the disguise to make people unrecongnizable in many ways including himself or the use of masks, in such a manner which is what created his abstract work. It came from a private collection of the family that has been past down since original purchase. The work was purchased in Spain in the early 60's . It comes with Provenance from Spain, Size is 20" x 26 1/2 inches. It is from La Malaga da Picasso Galerie of Spain. It is matted and framed. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

artfakes.dk:
Perhaps the pastel comes from a private family but it dosn't com from Picasso's own hand.

This drawing is in its original frame and in need of professional restoration.Signed Picasso and dated 1904 on the top right hand corner. What distinguishes this little masterpiece is a French Gallery stamp on the the verso.GALERIE B.WEILL was no doubt one of the most renowned Galleries in Paris on the turn of the century and the stamp clearly indicates that this particular piece was exhibited between 15 December 1919 and January 10, 1920. In 1987, another exhibition of this work took place in Rome and the letter of acceptance was written to the last and still current owner.

artfakes.dk:
All paintings offered by webewinn, Mount Clemens, Michigan the United States and lady-frisko, Michigan the United States, one and the same person, are FAKES. They are signed Picasso, Léger, Modigliani, Foujita, Chagall, Picabia, Le Corbusier, Klimt, Magritte, Laurencin, Utrillo, Dali, Paul Fischer and others.
But ALL of them are FAKES.
Curiously enough the seller never mentions the artist's name; she just shows the signature in order to dupe an innocent buyer.

The seller, alnpkg, Deerfield, Illinois, United States:
This item has been in my possession for many years, it was acquired by me from an estate sale in Lake Forest, Illinois. The piece measures 7 x 9 and framed it is 20 x 21.
This piece reflects the true mastery of this famous artist. Due to the fact that when purchased there was no authentification for this piece I purchased it at a resonable price and will sell it the same way.
Hassam's works for watercolors are in the high 6 figures so at the starting price this could be a real bargain.
This piece is signed in the lower left by the artist and the signature apppears to match his other works.
CHILDE HASSAM ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR.

artfakes.dk:
Perhaps an original watercolour but not an original Childe Hassam.
